Nus

The Nus red produced by our winery is produced from mainly Vien de Nus grapes. The proportions are Vien de Nus 65%, Petit Rouge 5% and the balance of 30% from Premetta, Mayolet and Fumin.
The legends tell us that this wine was perhaps known in Roman times and appreciated even by Pontius Pilate.

Colour: intense ruby red with hints of garnet.
Nose: intense with reasonable persistance and pleasantly fruity with reminders of red fruit.
Taste: Dry, smooth, with warm alcoholic sensations and elegant tannic notes.
Accompaniments: good with meat, motsetta (local dried meat), cured meats, Fontina and black bread.
Serving temperature: 18°-20°C (64°-68°F), open a couple of hours before serving.
Note particolari: a wine that lends itself to an ageing of 2-3 years provided it's laid down in suitable conditions at a constant temperature of 10°-15°C (50°-59°F) and not exposed to light.
